Sawadee ka (hello)
I have been neglectful of the blog recently and it is time to get back at it! Since my last post I have been busy, Jaimie and I returned two weeks ago from our second (or is it third?) honeymoon. We went back to Thailand (we can't seem to stay away) and spent a relaxing week beach bumming before taking off, in a rusty tin can (prop plane = panick attack) to Myanmar where we had quite an adventure! I, of course, took way too many pictures, but i'm proud to say that I carried my own gear around this time (thanks new Lowepro backpack!). Because of the sheer volume of photos and to satisfy my need to organize, I am breaking up the trip into several different blog posts and galleries.
This first gallery has some shots of our time in Thailand. My family has been going there every year for the past 18 years, so needless to say it feels like home to me. The familar smell of Masca-scented cold towels always brings me back to this amazing place. The Surin Resort is located Pansea beach, the best beach (in our estimation) in Phuket. The people here are wonderful, generous and kind, which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. That, and the food! I don't know when we'll be back, as we have so many places on our bucket list, but I know that part of my heart stays in this place everytime I leave.
